NBCUG PROPERTY
The following
is a list of property owned by NBCUG, where it resides and rules
for it's use.
Overhead
Projector for transparencies Donated by Ray Brown 5/15/99. Kept
in the storage room at the Knights of Columbus hall. Members may
borrow the unit by contacting Jerry Tetreault provided there is
not a conflict with NBCUG's planned use and the unit is returned
promptly and in working order.
PC Projector - Phillips ProScreen 4600 PC Purchased from Steve Steidel
2/20/01. It is complete with cables, remote mouse control and housed
in carry-on luggage. Since the projector is valued at over $3,000
special rules were adopted by members in the March 2001 meeting
for its use and amended by e-mail consensus later. The rules are
shown below. Jim Miller is the custodian.
PHILLIPS
PROSCREEN 4600G PC PROJECTOR
In February
2001, NBCUG purchased a Phillips ProScreen 4600 PC projector from
member Steve Steidel for $500. Since the projector was worth around
$3400, it was essentially a gift from Steve who was a consultant
and wanted a smaller replacement projector that would fit under
his seat during air travel.
In the
March 2001 NBCUG meeting the following rules were agreed to regarding
the use of the club's PC projector. Revised rules for loaning the
projector to members for presentations to non-NBCUG groups were
agreed by a majority of members at the March 2002 meeting and added
as Item 4.0 below.
1. The
projector will be kept by Jim Miller between meetings. Jim lives
at 102 Plantation Drive in River Bend. His phone number is 636-3388
and e-mail is jayseemill@earthlink.net.
Jim will keep a log of members borrowing the projector. The log
will be available to members upon request.
2. The
projector is to be used primarily for NBCUG and NBCUG Special Interest
Group (SIG) meetings. It is not to be loaned to outside individuals
or groups nor is it to be rented. When a member plans to use the
projector it must be picked up at Jim Miller's home a couple days
before the meeting and returned within a couple days following the
meeting. The projector is not to be taken out of Craven County.
3. Members
that plan to use the projector for NBCUG or SIG meetings must know
in advance how to use it and be assured that it will work with their
PC before the meeting. A manual is available and Jim Miller will
offer tips at pickup. You must contact Jim prior to picking up or
returning the projector.
4. NBCUG
members may borrow the projector for a presentation by him/herself
to a non-NBCUG group provided it doesn't conflict with use by the
NBCUG or SIG and provided:
a. The
member must have used the PC before in a NBCUG or SIG presentation
b. It
is not to be used for business, profit-seeking, fund raising or
political uses.
c. It
is not to be used outside Craven county nor loaned by a member
to a non-member.
d. The
same NBCUG rules above apply for picking up and returning the
projector.
e. The
member will mention at his/her presentation that the projector
is there as a courtesy of NBCUG.
f. The
borrower accepts full responsibility for safekeeping and gentle
treatment of the projector as well as returning all the components,
cables, etc. The borrower is financially responsible for theft
or damage as a result of abuse.
